Weather here has been nuts (warm, cold, warm, cold.... ) , and it has just encouraged my laziness to throw on a pair of leggings when I'm not at work and just change my tops. Tsk, Tsk... wisk, wisk? Pretty odd considering I was so sick of leggings a year and a half ago that I pretty much swore off of them. Funny how that happens.

Went to a music festival last night that ended up being not much of a festival, and then bounced to another place. I don't know about you guys, but everytime I wear a hat, guys feel the need to take it off my head or beg to borrow it, etc. What is that? I hate it.

Speaking of hats, this one belonged to my grandfather, who was hands down the funniest, most-loving best friend anyone could have. Man had style, too! He'd wear trousers, a button down, dress socks, dress shoes and a hat everyday, and depending on the weather, he'd add a suit vest and/or suit jacket or long cardigan to the mix. Even when he reached his 90s, he'd dress like that to sit on the porch. Adorable. And then he'd say funny thinks like, "Lets write Mr. Clinton a letter. I need money for a train ride and I feel like he'll understand my situation and help me out." ha! So cute.

Sometimes I pose for pics in the Anthropologie dressing room. One of my besties came into town to celebrate my Birthday. It's the Birthday that keeps on giving. She got my lunch.... sushi and nori salad, yum!... and the new Sart book and a kick ass chain choker necklace. Thanks Ang!

Today was pretty hilarious because the BET awards are tonight here in the A and the mall was full on packed with rappers, producers and athletes. Love this city!

Bienvenido a Miami: Part 2

Started off this past Saturday by switching hotels from one side of South Beach to the other. I have never done that before but it was an interesting switch... of course after brunch we started walking our way back to the original end anyway. Ha. I'm more of a socialize or chill at a fun, shaded spot than sweat away in the sun kind of girl, so kept hitting up this really cool hotel to relax in the shade on their gorgeous tiered patio facing the beach. 

Totally overheard a guy talking about a private, free NERD concert at the new W in South Beach and immediately knew I'd have to crash it. I'm feisty like that. Lets just say, totally worth it. Aside from The Racontours, hands down the best concert I have ever been too... even though 3/4 ths of the crowd was uber lame and either was sitting or not paying attention. Pharell seemed pretty annoyed, and I felt bad for him. I know the feeling of wanting people to not suck and then they, well, they suck. Lol.

Anyway, found a recording of the concert on youtube. Feel free to rock out ;)

** I think I need to shorten this dress. The length bothers me.

Had a great time in South Beach. Stuffed my face with great food, walked and explored, hung out in the shade and hit up about a million hotels since they are such hot places to hang at when in Sobe. A great birthday all around. Hope everyone had a great wknd too! More pics to come tomorrow. :)
